Paint Protective Film also known as “PPF” or “clear bra” is a thermoplastic urethane that is self-healing.
It is applied to paint surfaces on new and used cars in order to protect the paint from rock chips, bug
splatter, and minor abrasions. While PPF is mainly used on cars, it can be applied to any painted surface
such as airplanes, boats, motorcycles, RVs, ect. The film is predominantly applied to high impact areas
but can be applied to protect the entire vehicle. PPF allows for easier cleaning and exterior maintenance
of the vehicle as well. You can wash and wax over PPF. PPF is recognized by most manufacturers and
insurance companies and replacement is often covered.
