Filler in a body shop has long been the repair process for minor dents. small dents, and holes in the surface of the auto’s body, car body. It’s standard for a body shop to use BONDO and provide a simple repair for minor cosmetic damage on any damaged vehicle area.

Bondo is a compound mixed to fill dents and holes, then sanded down, and then the vehicle is repainted.

Compounds such as Bonds present a lot of drawbacks.

  1. Fillers like Bondo can crack if they are mixed incorrectly and break from any kind of pressure. We have seen many cars come back to us in a hail storm that has smashed filler.
  2. There is a risk of discoloration and poor long-term wear when you use a dent repair filler like Bondo. The paint repaired in that area, if not done correctly, can fade, look dull.
  3. Bondo is usually a longer, more drawn-out process than Paintless Dent Removal.
  4. Paint Thickness Gauge (often abbreviated to PTG and also called a Paint Depth Gauge) is an electronic device that measures the distance between the body panel and the sensor. This way, you can measure the paint’s thickness, telling us when the factory paint is no longer. This can diminish the value of the car.
